a full week planned

this week, i have tons of strips laid out on my dining table, ready for assembly as wonky stacked coins. that's project number one that's underway and in the way.

over the weekend, i found out i have a chance to hand deliver a baby quilt, to someone who lives across the country, next monday. i'm thinking of a strips quilt with three accent blocks and a monogram, like beth's project here. can i get a simple baby quilt done in a week? i think so. maybe.
so that makes project number two that needs attention this week.

sarah's strips - gosh, they're beautiful!
and sarah's barn door quilt along starts today! ack! i've been looking forward to making this quilt for over a month and the fabrics are all pulled. but how do i do it at the same time as these other urgent projects? this week features the seven middle strips. we'll see how i do.

oh, and then there's the four wips on my living room floor that are always in the way!
why on earth am i on the computer right now?!

because i need to link up my lovely finish goal of the month:
i really want to get "paris daydreams" sandwich quilted and bound. that shouldn't be too difficult. once everything else is done, that is. oh, yes. christmas isn't the only time i go crazy.

A Lovely Year of Finishes WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

  1. That is a full week, but I know you can do it! I'm excited to see what you pulled for the Barn Door Quilt. I'm hoping to start mine tonight!

  2. Haha that is quite a lot! Sure you can do it! Love the fabrics for the baby quilt x

  3. Thanks for talking up my work! I really do think you could catch up next week. I am almost done with my week 2 strips AND I had to do all the writing. And play with my new fabric shelf. ;)

  10. Oh my goodness, that's a busy week you have ahead of you. But all such lovely projects. Which one are you going to start first? It's the barn door, isn't it???
    E xx

  11. Haha, Christmas isn't the only time I go crazy either!

Whatever I've done to somehow deserve the very kind things you've said on my "just thinking" post is exactly what I want to keep doing. Thank you so much for affirming me. I hope to live up to it! And, I think I need some really big blinders =)

  12. Busy, busy...I'm trying to step away form quilting for a few days to give me some real down time, without pushing myself to do anything extra at all. We'll see, I may decide to pick it up again sooner. I also love the fabrics Sarah has chosen.

  13. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the Christmas card Hydee!!!!! You have a beautiful family!

The barn door QAL looks very interesting to piece:) Looking forward to seeing how it all goes together.
